We just wanted a quick bite to eat before heading on to Hatshepsut's temple, but the offer of soup and a typical Egyptian lunch was too good to resist. Business is hard at the moment, but the owner showed real hospitality and shared a put of tea with us while we chatted. If you are walking or riding a bike down there, don't hesitate to stop in.
